What inspired you to create Re.V.tal?

The birth of this label came as I entered menopause and began to understand this transformative time in a woman’s life. Surrounded by an incredible community of women, I’ve had the opportunity to sit in circles, share stories, and journey alongside many sisters during this transition. What I discovered is that menopause isn’t about aging, losing youth, beauty, or ourselves—it’s quite the opposite.

Over the years, I’ve dressed countless women through my work at Fairy Floss, and I’ve listened as they looked in the mirror, reflecting on the profound changes in their bodies and minds. During menopause, many women experience weight gain, health shifts, fatigue, and begin to question everything about themselves. It’s common for them to change their style of clothing—many choosing to cover their bodies in ways that feel unflattering, almost as if to say, “I’m not attractive anymore, and I’m not interested in trying.” It’s as though they’re resigning to the idea of aging, and so they dress accordingly. I felt this was very sad, as what I saw was their beauty and wisdom.

But perhaps they didn’t have a choice. There aren’t many options for empowering clothing that makes women feel comfortable and confident during this phase of life. Most fashion caters to youth, and much of what’s available for mature women is designed to hide their bodies, and by extension, their identity.

What I’ve found is that as we age, we become more sophisticated, more at ease with ourselves, and more accepting of our imperfections. For many of us, this is the first time in our lives that we feel okay with our bodies—imagine that! Our minds are freer, and we’re empowered to be authentically ourselves, we dont give a fuck anymore of what others think about us. This is freedom ! That’s something to celebrate, and I want to address it through my designs.

I create clothing that’s effortlessly sophisticated ,  in a way that allows each woman to express her uniqueness. I design garments that are versatile enough to mix and match, allowing women to play with their wardrobe and their mood. I favour loose-fitting designs with strategic openings that create a sensual and smart look, while still celebrating the body. For those who prefer a more fitted silhouette, I design with a draped layer, providing the option to feel both comfortable and stylish.

I believe many women at this age are still proud of certain features, like their cleavage or legs—so let’s celebrate that! Whatever part of your body you love, express it. This is your time! When we reveal the parts we love, it’s not for anyone else—it’s for ourselves. I like to design with flowing fabrics, creating a sense of movement and elusiveness, allowing women to reveal what they choose in an elegant way.

Practicality is also important to me. Layering an open tunic over a Pilates outfit, or wearing garments that can change shape with just a belt, allows for ease and versatility. For instance, a large dress cinched at the waist can be far more flattering than just a loose, oversized fit—it hints at the woman beneath.

We want to express our femininity now more than ever, and we want to do it for ourselves. I want women to look in the mirror and love what they see.
